Case Study - Linking Services We’re finding new ways of linking up during lockdown to support our most vulnerable clients. MH first visited our Individual Placement Support service in March and began looking for paid work as a trainee graphic designer with the support of his Employment Specialist. When lockdown happened, face-to-face meetings had to cease, and MH began to experience low mood and increasing frustration. Concerned for his wellbeing, his Employment Specialist referred him to Upskill, a joint project between WWT and Mind. After an initial call with the Upskill Specialist, a new action plan was agreed and MH decided he would use his time at home to undertake remote learning. MH was linked in with the Access Print Design Manager to support MH in deciding on the most suitable online design course. Upskill were able to provide £49 from their training budget to cover the cost of a suitable online course. He has also arranged to take up a placement at Access print and Design when lockdown is over. MH is now studying hard during the day and feeling more optimistic about his future. We’re happy that we are able to come together and provide this chain of advice, referral and support.
