The Retention Service (ERS) has been operating since 2009 and is experienced in supporting employers and employees in contexts where the individual is presenting with symptoms of psychological illness. The ERS is based on a case management model and as such provides case management support and advice to employers and their staff,  where the individual is recovering from an episode of psychological ill-health, which has usually necessitated them to take sick leave.

Broadly speaking, the ERS aims to support both the employer and employee to assist the individual to make a successful, safe and sustainable return to work. The service offers a constructive, solution-based intervention and seeks to help the employer and their employee to negotiate a positive resolution to the current situation - one, that is ideally acceptable to both parties. The service we offer is impartial and confidential. It is an effective way of retaining valuable staff, whilst assisting the employer to implement effective retention strategies for people with mental health support needs.
